The textile enterprise anchors Solapur's industrial rise. For decades the mill is part of the city's economic and social memory: land, industry, employment, and community stewardship.

Jamshri becomes one of the oldest continuously listed companies on the Bombay Stock Exchange, with leadership passing through four generations without interruption.
The turning point
The mill winds down and revenue touches zero. With an offer for the land on the table, the family makes the defining decision of the modern era: keep the land, and rebuild on it.
The rebuild, milestone by milestone
Shubham Banquets (2017). Zudio and Star Bazaar (2021–22). Westside (2023). Ileseum Sports Club (2024). Each opening converts industrial memory into living, earning real estate.
Jamshri City
The 15-acre mill campus is reborn as an integrated lifestyle township: retail, entertainment, sport, offices, a four-screen Connplex Cinema, 1400+ kWp of rooftop solar, the Biosphere in planning, and residential development ahead. Adaptive reuse, not demolition: the township carries the mill's bones and memory forward.

Four generations, from Bikaner to a city of their own
The family's story begins in Bikaner and runs through the mills of Bombay to the township rising in Solapur today.
Bhairuratan Damani
The first of the family to move from Bikaner to Bombay, managing Simplex Mills. With his brother Surajratan, he set the family's course in textiles and carried it into the industrial world.
Premratan Damani
Founded and grew Jamshri as a builder of society, raising the community around the business with it. Mentored within the family, his instinct was to build for the people, and let prosperity follow.
Rajesh Damani
The architect of Jamshri City. Through the mill's closure and the rebuild, he shaped the vision of an integrated township and turned vision into ground you can stand on.
Ankit Damani
Came to real estate from technology, having co-founded iPing Data Labs (AI and edge computing for industry). Leads strategy, growth, and AI adoption, carrying the inherited instincts into the intelligent era.
The guiding principle across all four generations: the land handed to us should be left richer than we found it, for the community today and the generations that follow.

Jamshri moves through three broad identities. Understanding all three explains every decision the company makes today.
Mills
Rooted in industry, production, land, labour, and discipline. The mill was part of Solapur's economic and social history, and its values of stewardship and continuity still govern how Jamshri operates.

Converting land and built assets into long-term real estate value: project execution, leasing, finance, operations, and asset management, run with the rigour of a listed company.
City, and beyond
An integrated, city-scale ecosystem: smarter infrastructure, stronger documentation, AI-enabled workflows, sustainability-led assets, real-time monitoring, and an intelligent operating model. Solapur is the proving ground; if we earn it here, we earn the right to build it everywhere.

2026 is the year Jamshri's technology programme moved from intent to infrastructure. Five connected systems make up the stack you will work within.
Jamshri Intelligence Framework (JIF)
Our internal knowledge and management framework: how the company organises, documents, reviews, trains, and improves. Rolled out to the full 15-member team, with company-wide AI adoption and a Shared Drive as the single source of truth.
JamshriOS
Our operating platform. Live operations (labour, machinery, leasing, daily sales, footfall, alerts, and photo management, built on React, Supabase, and Vercel) now run inside it. The long-term ambition is to unify our systems, brand standards, and playbooks into a multi-tenant, modular, multi-language product other developers can one day run on.
Clearstate
Maharashtra regulatory intelligence: monitoring government sources, translating Marathi documents, summarising, tagging by department and project, scoring relevance, and alerting the right person. This is the AI team's inaugural project, and it is yours.

The public website is being rebuilt to match the company Jamshri has become: the Mill-to-Mall story, Jamshri City's live ecosystem, and the technology programme, all in the house identity.

Your first quarter is focused on one build done well. As you grow, the role widens into how AI works across Jamshri: what gets built, how it is run, and how colleagues learn to use it.
The three horizons
Clearstate Internal
The working internal tool: monitor government sources, translate Marathi to English, summarise, tag by department and project, score relevance, and alert the right person. Core internal users: Mr. Kale and Mr. Amol.
Clearstate Industry
The public plain-language layer for Maharashtra builders: regulatory value exchanged for consented account and project data, building the industry relationship base.
JamshriOS
Scoping the multi-tenant product: architecture, modularity, and language support. Honest sequencing applies: Horizon 1 ships fully before the stretch horizons open.
Month 1
Five dimensions, each on a four-level maturity rubric:
Capstone: a practical exercise on a real Marathi Government Resolution.
Clearstate PRD v1 plus a cost estimate, by end of Month 1.
Your six-month review is gated on the core Clearstate milestone. Discovery runs through structured intake with Mr. Kale (accounts and liaisoning) and Mr. Amol (projects), who hold the key Marathi document flows.

What to learn, and why it matters here
The goal is to build the judgment to work strategically while the machine handles the mechanical, rather than to memorise tools. Move through these in order; each one earns the next.
Agentic coding
The core shift. You direct an AI agent to write, test, and refactor code while you hold the intent, the architecture, and the review. Get fluent in Claude Code first, our primary agentic environment for the AI team.
Codex Explore & teach back is on the horizon. Ankit has not started with it yet, so this is an open invitation: learn it, form a view on where it beats or complements Claude Code, and bring that back to the team. Teaching what you learn is part of the role.
Strategic development over mechanical development
Mechanical development is the typing: syntax, boilerplate, wiring, the parts an agent now does well. Strategic development is the thinking: what to build, why, how it should be structured, what could break, and what it must not do.
Now that agentic coding covers the mechanical layer, your value is almost entirely strategic. Spend your attention on the problem statement, the data model, the edge cases, and the review, and let the agent carry the rest. The skill to build is knowing which is which, and refusing to let the machine make decisions that are yours to make.

Day one to day five

- Day 3–4: Introductory sessions with Mr. Kale and Mr. Amol. Begin the structured document intake.
- Day 5: First weekly written update (four lines) and first standing 1:1 with Ankit. Skills assessment schedule agreed.
One guardrail for the first quarter: Clearstate is the only build. Ideas beyond it are welcome and recorded, and they wait their turn. Focus is how a one-person team ships.
